6-Tile kaolin is an air-floated clay used in both clay bodies and ceramic glazes. In clay bodies it is valued for its very light fired colour and high plasticity. In glazes it keeps non-plastic glaze ingredients suspended in slurries while supplying essential oxides of aluminum and silicon.
