Lemon Zest is formulated with a very high stain content to ensure a very intense, clean, yellow glaze of high opacity when fired to cone 6. Lemon Zest is available as a brushing glaze in several sizes and as a dipping glaze in pails. Lemon Zest, Cherry Bomb and Clementine glazes contain cadmium pigments encapsulated in zircon, a protective shield that is highly resistant to the solvent action of molten glaze. When fired to cone 6, these glazes are safe for use on all food surfaces and are safe to layer or mix together. Glaze layering or mixing with other glazes, however, isn't recommended for use on food surfaces unless glaze testing establishes that cadmium release is below legal limits.
Note: This is a Cone 6 glaze for mid fire clay and porcelain. Cone 06 glazes for low-fire clays are also available.
