A carbonate rock supplying ceramic glazes with two alkaline earth oxides, calcium and magnesium. Can be used in place of calcium carbonate (whiting) in recipes as an anti-craze; use 92% of some or all of the recipe’s whiting requirement, keeping the total dolomite amount to ~13% or less of the recipe.
For more information on Dolocron dolomite, see the Digitalfire.com Reference Library of ceramic materials.
